But, looking at 17,000+ transactions in the weeks after, it turns out commissions have barely budged. The average seller’s agent commission ticked up a fraction to 2.738%, while buyer agent commissions dipped slightly to 2.486%.

Despite the headlines, it seems like rates are still in familiar territory—at least for now. One trend to keep an eye on: buy-side transactions took a noticeable 10% hit. While this dip could be due to high mortgage rates and low inventory, it’s a stat worth tracking in the months ahead to see if the settlement stirs things up more.
